Debating with students from different universities has deepened my appreciation for diversity. Each debate presented a unique opportunity to hear perspectives influenced by different cultures and experiences. I found that some arguments were rooted in local contexts that I wasn’t familiar with, which forced me to expand my worldview. Engaging with these diverse viewpoints taught me the importance of inclusivity in discussions. It highlighted that effective communication means being open to understanding where others are coming from. This experience has not only made me a better debater but has also enriched my understanding of global issues and fostered a sense of empathy toward others.
